What is the What by Dave Eggers
Excellent book :) Took me over three weeks to finish it! Guess that's what happens when school starts back up.
Not sure what book I'd like to move onto next. Possibly I am Legend or Boylen Inheritance. Any suggestions.
I also need to start working on books I'd like to read next year.

If you hold on to the handle, she said, it's easier to maintain the illusion of control. But it's more fun if you just let the wind carry you.

It has been awhile...
Guess that is what happen when school is back in session!
We've been back in school for about 5 weeks now (time does fly). My class is very different than last year. The school closed the secure child inpatient classroom, SCIP, (because there wasn't an exit, that didn't go into a fenced in yard; makes sense), and moved all the kids into the "regular" Souther school. So needless to say, my classroom ended up being the main SCIP classroom. So most of my kids are in the secure residential unit. Our numbers have been very low, but if you knew the kids we worked with 7 to 8 is the max number of kids you want in the actual classroom (any more than that, and the classroom b/c very unsafe) Right now I have 6 kids (my most recent one is here b/c he severely beat a catholic parishioner with a shower rod). I'm planning our first field trip to Swan Lake in the next couple of weeks....that is a task of it's own!!!
Anyways I love my actual classroom this year! I painted the walls (so it's not so mentally healthy off white) an awesome green and blue. Then all my bulletin boards are covered with the classifieds from the paper. I will post a picture as soon as I take one :)
Other than that, not much is new. I've been biking to school 2 to 3 days a week (which is about a 25 mile round trip bike ride!!!) Not sure how much I will keep doing that, now that rainy season is upon us.
Until next time!
